Keep Learning

Ever hear the sayings “You are never too old to learn” and “When you stop learning, you start dying”. I am happy to announce I am not dead yet. I have just completed my last assignment for the Interior Design class I was in. I guess you can say I took it because it was there and not to mention I was interested in the subject. My daughters will tell you they told me about it for other reasons.
I try to learn something new daily- If it’s something for my job, an odd fact, something about a different country or a new word in English or a different language. I don’t stop at learning new stuff. I like to try new things… usually food or a drink. My second job has me reading a lot of books I would not think about reading on my own. Keeping yourself open to what is out there in this world will teach you new things about yourself as well.
Through the school, I have become interested in a program that helps make 3D images for interior design and architecture. My next goal is to learn how to use it. Once again, for no other reason but it’s there and it interested me. By taking this class, I learned to be a little less shy, a little more assertive, and a little more driven.
If there is a subject you are interested in whether it’s another language, history, business, a computer program, ect, you should pick up a book, find a class, or even try to find YouTube videos. Never think you are done learning. Everyone is far from knowing everything. Keep your brain working and keep learning. You never know when that knowledge may help you or someone you care about. Don’t forget the other saying “Knowledge is power”.
