Life Change

When you go through a life change, it seems like it’s more work than it’s worth at the time.  New place, new job, marital status, children, transportation and so on… no matter the change, we feel it should go smoothly because we are improving on our lives.  Life changes happen often and are frustrating because there are always hiccups.  Things that are unforeseen always occur.  If it’s not finding what you like or something you like has issues or is unavailable.

But sometimes these unfortunate situations find a way of working out…sometimes even better than the original plan.  It seems to happen more than you think.  Sometimes the result gets lost in the pain of it happening.  An example is getting an apartment that you think you will be satisfied with, but there was an issue with the apartment.  The complex puts you in a different layout than the original and you discover you like that layout better.  This may all get lost in the fact that you had to push back the moving date which makes it more difficult to move.

There are times that the wait is longer or less obvious.  When going through a life change that isn’t going your way, it could be because something better is in the works.  It will be hard to see most of the time and in the end of it all you may be only mildly content.  After everything settles, you realize it turned out better than you imagined it.  Changes may come with their own issues.  The way you see the issues and handle them is what makes the change easy or hard.  The question is when the change is complete and everything turns out well, how will you feel about the process and how you feel about yourself?  Will you be proud of how you handled it or ashamed?
