Comfort Zone

Eileen Dunst

We all have a place and atmosphere we picture or maybe even have as the ultimate comfort zone.  A place where we can forget the world and all our worries.  A place where we can relax and be ourselves.  It may be with others or it may be by ourselves.  What is your ultimate comfort zone?  Where can you relax and just be?  Where and when are you able to get lost in your surroundings and feel at peace.

I haven’t found mine yet.  I always picture it being a room I can call my own with big windows, a fireplace and a nice size television.  The ultimate relaxing time is during storms on cool days so I can cuddle up with a blanket in front of the fire and watch a show or movie I already watched.  The show would be background noise while I watch the storm.  I always have the choice of having the show on low and listening to the storm.  I find storms, rain and the snowfall relaxing, but finding the place to actually get lost in is what I am lacking.

Some may find it at the beach maybe they have to wait for the sunset.  It could be in the mountains just looking out at the view.  It may be the freefall after parachuting out of a plane.  Others may find their comfort zone every night coming home from work and hanging out with the children or cuddling with their other half in front of their favorite show.  Everyone is different and so is the concept of the ultimate comfort zone.

I hope everyone can find their ultimate comfort zone.  A place and time where once it passes you can feel refreshed and rejuvenated.  A place and moments that put you at peace. I hope just the thought of your ultimate comfort zone brings hope and comfort to you knowing that it is possible.
